Strother Martin - Best Character Actor Ever!

Beginning his acting career in 1950, Strother Martin was a popular character actor in both film and TV. By the mid-1960's, he was almost as well known as the major stars he worked with. He appeared in six films each with John Wayne and Paul Newman - both of whom requested him.
