Songs That Debuted at #1 (Updated, Through 2019)

Since Michael Jackson became the first artist to have a song debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1995 with "You Are Not Alone," 39 songs (as of June 2020) have held that distinction. Notably, since 2009, at least one song every year has debuted at #1, and 1998, 2018 and 2020 (so far) have each had a record 4 songs debut at #1. This is a chronological listing of the first 35 songs to debut at #1, through the end of 2019.
