Slicing Up Eyeballs celebrates the legacy of '80s college, modern and indie rock, the music — once relegated to campus radio, pioneering commercial stations like San Diego's 91X and the Sunday night ghetto of MTV's "120 Minutes" — that paved the way for Nirvana and the alternative revolution.
Slicing Up Eyeballs — publishes news items daily about new album releases, reissues, box sets, tours, reunions and other activity by '80s college rock bands, their spinoffs and their individual members, as well as video clips both new and archival, and streaming and downloadable audio.
The award-winning site was launched on Feb. 20, 2009, by journalist and former music critic Matt Sebastian
