The 1950s! Cold War, Korean War. In America, the Civil Rights movement gained momentum, though many American's wouldn't realize it for a while. Radio started fading out in favor of television. Pulp magazines either went slick, digest-sized, or folded, as cheap paperbacks were the new hotness in lowbrow fiction. Comic books in the U.S. had a brief adolescence before being shoved back into "for kids." Some new items, some new tiles, but those anthologies keep ticking right along.
