films with deep memories attached, seen at impressionable ages: films that got their claws in for better or worse - watched with friends, family, or alone; films my parents had on VHS, films my grandparents loved, films from - amazingly - my school library. Films we got shown in school bc they were educational. Films i bought second hand at charity sales because how tf else are you going to see things in 2005. A couple of films i even TAPED ... on VHS ... ..... because how tf else was I going to see them!
