Shakespeare's Source Material - What He Adapted for His Plays and Poetry

This was Shakespeare's List Challenge! He read all of this, and then was "inspired by" these books to write his own body of work. Essentially, there were no copyright laws in those days, and he needed a lot of source material. It is fascinating to see what would have been on an Elizabethan reader's bookshelf.
Most information on the sources was taken from "The Faber Pocket Guide To Shakespeare's Plays", and then I did a little looking around the internet for the poetry.
