Sequels That Ruin Happy Endings

If you like the image of Han, Luke and Leia smiling together in celebration of their victory and living happily ever after, you might want to pretend the Force Awakens and Last Jedi didn't happen. There are many cases of sequels ruining the happy events of a first film, some cheaply done in the name of doing a sequel, some that could have been written better, and some that were actually written fantastically despite their more somber tone.
