Scary Children's Stories - Page 2

Generally, kids movies are not scary. They are made for the youngest and most vulnerable of us. Kids are really not ready for scares. But, sometimes, creative filmmakers will defy convention on purpose or by accident and make something darker. These are the movies and shows marketed to kids that feature scary scenes.
I have left out most things that may be rated PG, but not actually marketed to kids, like Jaws or Poltergeist. The Twilight Zone is the one exception in that it wasn't actually made or aimed at kids. Its a nostalgia pick for me. I watched it as a kid on TV and it freaked me out. As an 80s kid, Webster and Greatest American Hero make the list based on single episodes. Webster had the creepy doll in the wall one and GAH had the witch in the pocket universe one and the sting at the end of the sea monster one that scared me as a kid.
