Richard III, the Princes in the Tower, and the Wars of the Roses - 2022 Update - Page 2

Since the discovery of Richard's remains in a Leicester car park in 2012 and the massive success of Phillippa Gregory 's fiction in both print and on television, there has been a renaissance of interest in Richard III and the mystery of his nephews, the Princes in the Tower. That Renaissance has continued unabated, with more and more published each year. A literature teacher and amateur medievalist presents a core reading list of books, including works of fiction, that will give the reader a good grasp of the issues, problems, and controversies that surround this most fascinating of historical mysteries. Both traditional and revisionist points of view are represented. [Note: All the books listed are readily available; primary source material and the 19th Century works of Halstead, Gardiner, and Markham have been omitted for reasons of scarcity and expense. The essence of these works is presented in the books listed.]
