Michael Bowen died in January 2021 at the too young age of 69. I can best describe him as a multi-talented genius (in the very literal sense of the word).
Top of his class -- Harvard Law School
Partner -- Foley and Lardner
Deacon -- St. Monica and St. Eugene Catholic Churches
Author -- 20 novels (including three using the pen name "Hillary Bell Locke")
Devoted husband, father, and grandfather
Good friend -- whom I will greatly miss
Mike was one of those people you always wanted to listen to -- even if you happened to disagree with him. He brought so much articulate thought and wit into his conversations (law, politics, religion, literature -- didn't matter) that even in dissent, he made one stop and ponder. His novels, while never best-sellers were thoroughly enjoyable. My favorites?
* Can't Miss
* Badger Game
* Washington Deceased
* Fielder's Choice
* But Remember Their Names
* Jail Coach
* Collar Robber
* Damage Control
Rest in Peace, my good friend.
