This is a chronological list of all the biggest rap hits throughout the years, dating back to the late 1970s and going all the way through today. Starting with the early 90s when rap truly exploded, each year gets a designated 20 or so hits included. There are big hit rap songs that were excluded, but only at the expense of the inclusions of others.
