Randy M.'S 4 Star Books on Goodreads - Page 2

After listing what I'd given 5 stars to at GoodReads, I wondered what I'd ranked as 4 star reads -- after awhile, you forget.
Why are these 4-star and not 5-star reads?
Ah -- honestly, in some cases, I don't know. For whatever reason some of them didn't capture my fancy (/imagination/attention/grab my lapels and drag me along) like the 5-star books. In other cases, the story or the quality of the information was more of the appeal and the writing wasn't as sharp or wasn't as much to my liking, or maybe the prose was great but the story wasn't all that powerful. Or maybe I was just harder to please the day I graded the book. In any case, non-fiction or fiction, the enlightenment or the entertainment value in these books still ranked pretty high for me.
