"Planet According to the Movies" by Marc Fennell - Page 4

A list of all the films mentioned in Marc Fennell's book "Planet According to the Movies: Awesome, Weird and Wonderful Flicks from Four Corners of the Globe". The book is an interesting guide to various countries around the world as they are portrayed on the big screen - either by their own filmmakers, or by how they are seen by others. The latter is the case of the chapters on Iceland and Vancouver, two examples of locations made famous standing in for other places on screen. There's also a chapter dedicated to fictitious countries. Scattered throughout are some "international death-matches" - which country makes the best sword-fighting films? It's an interesting way to look at the world (and movies!) and I look forward to adding a lot of these to my must-track-down-and-see list...
