PGYS LIST OF LIFELONG IMPACTFUL BOOKS

There are a variety of books here, some of them classics, some of them not so well written, but all of them made some impact on my life. They are a reflection of my life time reading, and if there is a bias towards the mid twentieth century,it is a reflection of when I grew up.The one feature they have in common is they all significantly impacted on me when I first read them, and quite a few of them have unexpectedly resonated across most of my life and my career, in ways I did not anticipate on first reading. It bothers me that there are not many books of recent years on this list, but maybe that is because it has taken half a life time for some of these books to register their strongest impact on me.
