The Top Ten: Writers Pick Their Favorite Books (Part 2)

This is the 2nd part of a 3-part challenge derived from the book "The Top Ten: Writers Pick Their Favorite Books" edited by J. Peder Zane. Authors such as Norman Mailer, Annie Proulx, Stephen King, Jonathan Franzen, Margaret Drabble, Michael Chabon and Peter Carey name the ten books that have meant the most to them.
NOTE: Click on the link to go to the 3rd part.
The favourite 10 books of 125 writers were tallied (544 individual books were mentioned). This list shows middle-ranked books in descending rank. Note that if the books had the same ranking, they were arranged in alphabetical order by author. Books 1-32 were chosen by at least 2 writers. Nearly 80% of the remaining books were chosen by only one writer (hence quite a few lesser-known works that you might like to explore).
