Part ONE: Our Readable Century - A Compendium of Memorable Books - Page 2

Part ONE (Part TWO also online at https://www.listchallenges.com/our-readable-century-part2 OR checkout my published lists)
Literary publication January Magazine polled their favourite authors, editors & contributors for their favourite works of 20th century fiction & non-fiction. It was keen 'on taking the emotional pulse of our respondents, trying to determine which volumes had struck personal chords or somehow influenced the behaviour of these ardent readers'. Also check out the website: most participants give reasons for their choices.
This is a much richer version of the list presented on thegreatestbooks.org. In this part, fiction is in Slots 1-67 & non-fiction in Slots 68-79.
