Osmond Hits - Page 2

The Osmonds started as four brothers (Alan, Wayne, Merrill, and Jay) singing barbershop quartet in and around Ogden Utah. In 1962 the family moved to California and were regular performers at Disneyland. In December 1962 they made their first appearance on The Andy Williams Show. The appeared on the Andy Williams show until it's demise. Towards the end of 1963 Alan, Wayne, Merrill and Jay were joined by younger brother Donny. Youngest brother, Jimmy, joined the group in 1967. Only sister, Marie, made her debut on The Andy Williams show at 4 years old but didn't begin her singing career until 1973. When Marie joined her brothers on stage the group changed from The Osmond Brothers to just the Osmonds.
In 1971 with the rise of bubblegum pop, the Osmond Brothers released their first album. "One Bad Apple" shot up the charts. The rest is history.
