I've had Noel Perrin's "A Reader's Delight" sitting around for ages, and was finally prompted to give it a read by its entry in James Mustich's "1,000 Books to Read Before You Die." (In fact, there's a bit of overlap between Perrin's and Mustich's lists.) I hadn't realized before reading it that Perrin specialized in reviewing "forgotten" books for The Washington Post back in the day. So, for those of you who've viewed my Michael Dirda list, Perrin was Dirda before Dirda!
I had to add several of these books to List Challenges, so enjoy the new finds! The entries are in book order. My own score will be painfully low, but I'm hoping to remedy that in the next year or two.
P.S. Sorry for my horrible image-cropping skills! I don't really see that improving in the future, honestly.
