In The National Hockey League Near The End Of Each Season 16 Out Of The 32 Teams In The NHL Compete For A Chance To Win The Stanley Cup Trophy. The Way The 16 Teams Are Selected Is That They Choose The 8 Teams Who Are Doing The Best In The Two Different Conferences And Have Them Face Each Other In Four Different Rounds In An Elimination Tournament. Starting With 16 In The First Round 8 Teams Get Eliminated. 8 Teams Are In The Second Round 4 Get Eliminated. Third Round Semi-Finals 4 Teams Are Left 2 Get Eliminated And Then They Move On To The Finals With Only 2 Teams Left. Whoever Wins The Most Games Out Of 7 Of Those Last Two Teams Is Awarded The Stanley Cup And That Team Is The Champions Of That Season.
