Movie musicals based on Broadway shows have been going on since the 40's, there was a pause in the
80's and 90's (accept Evita and Little Shop...) but in the 2000's there was a boom in movie musicals like Chicago, Hairspray, Mamma Mia
and Dreamgirls. The 2010's also saw Les Mis, Into The Woods and Jersey Boys (and Cats... Unfortunately...)
