Movies Where an Actor Was Replaced and They Hoped You Wouldn't Notice

These are some of the most infamous incidents of characters from popular franchises suddenly being played by different actors in the hopes that the audience either won't remember the original actor or won't care enough to notice. This list doesn't include movies where characters are inexplicably removed from the sequel (like Megan Fox in Transformers 3), the film is a reboot so recasting is expected (like The Amazing Spider-man), the character has just gotten older (Attack of the Clones), or an explanation for their different appearance is given on-screen (like The Matrix Revolutions).
