I was considering putting one list together for the first few years of film (1888-1995), but then realised 1894 is still quite a long list, so I've made this short one for 1895, and there will be two more afterwards. Six of these eleven films are from the Lumiere Brothers, the others are from Birt Acres in the UK and Dickson, Heise and Clark from the US.
Included is, perhaps, what might be called the first horror film. I wonder how audiences reacted to Mary, Queen of Scots getting her head cut off.
