(Mostly) off the 'Assigned' Reading Lists

Ok, there's stuff we all read because we had to. But what about the stuff that made us who we are today? Books that made me an English major, History MA, and Druid. Books starting in early childhood that shaped me or at least left an impression. Mostly chronological order; the very end dozen or so are several I almost forgot. Few of these books were assigned in school, but only the ones I went back to after a teacher or committee made me read them are here.
