The first installment of the list of movies seen by one of the maniacal monsters, or is that one of the monstrous maniacs, from Maniacs & Monsters (maniacsandmonsters.com). Mostly horror and horror adjacent, but we don't stand on ceremony. This installment covers films from 1896 to 1967 seen prior to May 2023. The intent is for each part to include 300 films ordered by release year. Starting with the fourth installment, films seen after May 2023 will be included.
No assessment of the films should be inferred. The good, the bad, and the ugly have all been included (although not The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly).
