Laura Ingalls or Anne Shirley?

Laura Ingalls Wilder delighted millions world-wide with the series of books she wrote about her childhood and young adulthood. While the first few novels were somewhat "fictionalized", the later books were a good deal more autobiographical.
Anne Shirley was a creation of the Canadian author L.M. Montgomery who wrote several books featuring her beloved protagonist.
Both series of books have been depicted on television.
