Largest Asteroids in the Asteroid Belt

The asteroid belt lies between the planets Mars and Jupiter. It consists of innumerable small bodies of varying size (and even shape) ranging from the largest, Ceres (also considered a dwarf planet) with a diameter of 952 km down to mere yards (or less). At this time, only about 140 asteroids have been measured with a diameter of at least 120 km.
The asteroids on this list are the only 12 known to have a diameter of more than 250 km.
