I love to read, so expect books I've loved or hated, places I adore or would never go. At the age of 80, I have experiences to share, life yet to explore, family and friends to meet, advice to give- or not. I won't discuss politics, but as a cat breeder showing Siamese, Colorpoints, and Tonkinese in The Cat Fancier's Association for about fifty years, you probably can't ask me unanswerable questions (taking into consideration that I'm not a vet.) I'm a food writer. I love twisting and publishing recipes on FB. I have a You Tube channel (Joan Bernstein: My Life With Cats) but the videos aren't very good; I need a better lens for my Nikon. I love taking pictures. I spent a year (1969) as a motorsports photojournalist. My Long Island, NY roots are five generations strong. Life hasn't always been good to me, but I'm a survivor.
