Jean Desailly (1920 – 2008) was a French stage and film actor. He was a member of the Comédie-Française from 1942 to 1946 and the Renaud-Barrault company from 1952 to 1968, and participated in numerous films, the most famous being François Truffaut's La Peau Douce (The Soft Skin, 1964).
1960: Nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Foreign Actor, for his role in Maigret tend un piège (Maigret Sets a Trap).
2002: Awarded the Molière acting prize.
