While probably best known for his novels "The Call of the Wild" and "White Fang", or his short story "To Build a Fire", Jack London wrote a large number of books on various topics, most of the time drawing from his own manifold experiences.
Of his lesser known works, I can highly recommend you to read "Martin Eden", which is the story of a struggling author, "The Iron Heel", a dystopian novel about oligarchy and socialism, "John Barleycorn", an autobiographical account of the author's struggle with alcoholism, and "The People of the Abyss", which describes the conditions of working-class people in England at the turn of the 20th century and served as an inspiration for George Orwell's "Down and Out in Paris and London".
