Hey, You Kinda Stole That Idea

This list pairs together a book or movie or TV episode that's well known, with an earlier and lesser known book or movie or TV episode whose plot and/or characters and/or world-building etc. were ripped off to make the more famous one. I started this list first with 4 similarities that I noticed myself, and then added the fairly well known Hunger Games vs. Battle Royale, and the Aladdin vs. The Thief and The Cobbler debates. (Ignore the date on the Thief and the Cobbler...it's a long story...) Then I searched for more examples. Most of these come from:
https://www.looper.com/98877/plots-stolen-movies/
Or https://www.cracked.com/article_21898_5-famous-authors-who-stole-their-biggest-ideas.html
Turns out Alexandre Dumas, Jack London, and even Shakespeare outright plagiarized some of their most famous works!
