Hayao Miyazaki's 50 Recommmended Children's Books

It was really interesting to see the various books recommended by the great director/writer/producer of Studio Ghibli. Some are European books not available in current translation(a real shame!) & a Korean story which I couldn't find a pic for. I also added 3 stories not on the list that were the basis of great anime films from Miyazaki & his studio co-founder Isao Takahata. I didn't add Gauche the Cellist , as Kenji Miyazawa was already represented. I saw a few lists had Philippa Pearce represented by Tom's Midnight Garden, but that is far better known then the one I saw on the Ghibli site. I couldn't find a pic of the original Flambards trilogy(the fourth book followed a tv series & changed the ending of the third). The Little Humpbacked Horse was written by Pyotr Pavlovich Yershov(Ershoff).
