One of the oldest English literary styles, the epistolary novel (a book written through a series of letter, diary entries, or even prayers to God) has not only survived the test of time, but it still popular to thi day. Unlike first-person narration, each "chapter" is written like it's addressed to a specific person, which lets the reader feel they're a part of something private and intimate.
