This is a light-hearted companion to my recent challenge "The Guardian: Ten of the Best & the Books That Inspired Them".
I have reorganised and amplified the Goodread's source list. The layout is the original book followed by one or more adaptations (which nicely highlights how many authors have jumped on the retelling bandwagon). I don't wish to sound like a literary snob, but another reason I included the classic work is that if I hadn't, I wouldn't have scored any points.
Note: 67 and 70 are doubly-inspired works!
