Golden Age Comic Book Characters From Outside the USA - Page 3

During the Golden Age of Comics superheroes appeared in growing numbers, not only in the United States, but throughout the World. Here are a few of them. Some of them even precede Superman. Nearly all of the heroes pictured here had superpowers or used devices that gave them the ability to fly or other powers such as super-strength or becoming bullet-proof. The exception is super detective Sexton Blake, the poor man's Sherlock Holmes but as his deductive powers border on the superhuman perhaps he deserves his place amongst the others in the International League of Extraordinary Gentlefolk!
