George Takei Filmography (Movies & TV)

George Takei is one of the few Star Trek stars who has become known for a lot more than just Star Trek. While his portrayal of Sulu was iconic and very important for cultural diversity in TV, he is also known for his voice (becoming a prominent voice actor because of it), his political activism, and for being an important figure in the lgbt community, to name a few. Not that he didn't love doing Star Trek too, happily guest starring on Voyager after the original films and taking part in some fan projects. He also always pushed for Sulu to get his own TV series but it sadly never happened. Takei's career began in 1955 and he's still working to this day. This is the 6th in my Star Trek actor filmography series that counts both film and television. I will not be counting short films or video games.
