Films That Are Genuinely Scary - Page 2

I'm a total sucker for paranormal films and jump scares - very basic I know but they're almost always guaranteed to scare me! There are other films on this list that are included because they scared me as a child. For example, blue creatures with horns haunted my nightmares for years before I finally realised they were from Little Monsters! Lastly, plenty of films have disturbed or disgusted me, such as Audition or Human Centipede, which you might expect to see on such lists. However, these films haven't caused me to feel genuine fear. The film on this list that terrified me the most, which caused me to genuinely recoil, scream, and hide behind my fingers, was Trainspotting, specifically the baby Dawn scenes and when she fell from the ceiling. Harrowing.
