For years, Metroid fans have crabbed like it was their job about the lack of a new Metroid. Yesterday, Nintendo announced a new Metroid to go with the new Metroid ALREADY announced, and Metroid fans responded by crabbing like it was their job.
Metroid fans are the worst fans in video games. They hate it when they don't get their way and find a way to hate it when they do. They hate it when any other Nintendo fandom gets a new game. They hate it when Metroid doesn't get the same resources as Zelda, Mario and other far more successful franchises. My theory is that they have no perspective, and think the importance of a series is determined by their own personal passion for it. So, here's all the individual video games that have sold more copies than every Metroid game put together.
Look at it, you professional, never happy whiners, and be glad you get new Metroid games at all.
Signed,
A Happy Metroid Fan
