These are works, most of which were published in the 18th century, that are discussed in Chapter 2 of "From Puritanism to Postmodernism: A History of American Literature". Chapter 2 has the title "Awakening and Enlightenment" and is within the section "The Literature of British America". BTW, many of these works are readily available online.
