Films Umbrellas Saw in August 2020

Here are all the films I watched in August 2020, ranked in order of how much I liked them (favourite first). The top pick is a pretty obvious one, but I've never seen The Conformist previously and was deeply impressed, even if I kind of expected to be impressed. Much less expected was The Docks of New York; I was already a great admirer of the von Sternberg/Dietrich films but this is the first of his silent films I've seen, and I was blown away by how good it was. If you're not yet convinced about silent films then give this one a try, as it might change your mind. At the other end of the scale I got further confirmation that I'm never going to be a Jacques Tati fan, while Warhol's Bad is simply...bad.
