Films Nominated for the National Film Registry by Cinema Seeker in 2024 - Page 2

Each year members of the public are allowed to nominate up to 50 films to be added to the National Film Registry. Members of the public submit these nominations through a form at the Library of Congress website. The nominated films must be American films that haven't already been selected for the Registry. The films must be at least 10 years old. They can be any length and can be either fiction or non-fiction. Films that get nominated by many different people get extra consideration from the panel that eventually recommend the 25 "winners" each year to the Librarian of Congress. These are the 50 films that I just nominated as part of the 2024 nomination process that ends on 8/15/24. The 25 films eventually selected for 2024 should be announced sometime in December. The "cover photo" for this list is from "The Unbearable Lightness of Being."
