This is only a sampling of films from 1929, as there were at least 300 talkies released! Also many films have been lost, I'm not sure how many below are complete either. Oscar nominated & winning films included- "Alibi", "The Broadway Melody"(best picture 1928-1929), "Thunderbolt", "Madame X", "The Letter", "Coquette"(best actress 1928-1929 Mary Pickford), "The Divine Lady", "Wonder of Women", "The Bridge of San Luis Rey"(best interior decoration-1928-29), "Dynamite", "Hollywood Revue", "The Iron Mask", "The Love Parade", "Bulldog Drummond", "Condemned", "Their Own Desire", "The Trespasser", "Hallelujah" & "Sally". All the great stars are here-Laurel & Hardy, Douglas Fairbanks Sr. & Jr., Norma Shearer, Lon Chaney (sr.), Ronald Colman, Al Jolson, Greta Garbo, The Marx Brothers, Joan Crawford, Gary Cooper, Louise Brooks, Mickey Mouse & Rin Tin Tin!
