Marion Cotillard (French: [maʁjɔ̃ kɔtijaʁ] born 9/30/1975) is a French actress, singer, musician & activist known for varied roles in big & indie films. She's received an Oscar, a BAFTA, a Golden Globe, 2 Césars, and a Lumières. Cotillard's first English-language role was in the series Highlander (1993) and she made her film debut in The Story of a Boy Who Wanted to Be Kissed (1994). Her breakthru was in the hit French film Taxi (1998), which earned her a César nom. She transitioned into Hollywood in Big Fish (2003) and won her 1st César for her performance in A Very Long Engagement (2004). For her portrayal of Édith Piaf in La Vie en Rose (2007), Cotillard won her second César, a BAFTA, a Golden Globe, a Lumières & the Best Actress Oscar, becoming the first & only actor to win an Oscar for a French role.
