Jennifer Anne Garner (born 4/17/72) is an American actress. Born in Houston, Texas, and raised in West Virginia, Garner studied theatre at Denison University becoming an understudy for the Roundabout Theatre Company in NYC. She made her screen debut in the TV adaptation of Danielle Steel's novel Zoya in 1995. She then had a supporting role in Pearl Harbor (2001), received praise for her work in the rom-com 13 Going on 30 (2004) and portrayed Elektra in the superhero films Daredevil (2003) and Elektra (2005). Garner became known for her comedy skills starring in Juno (2007), Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009), The Invention of Lying (2009), Valentine's Day (2010) and The Odd Life of Timothy Green (2012). She received a SAG Award nom for Dallas Buyers Club (2013), and went on to star in Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (2014), Miracles from Heaven (2016), Love, Simon (2018), Peppermint (2018), and Yes Day (2021).
