José Antonio Domínguez Bandera (8/10/1960), known widely as Antonio Banderas, is a Spanish actor, director, producer and singer. He is the recipient of numerous accolades, including a Cannes Best Actor Award, a European Film Award for Best Actor, as well as nominations for a Tony, an Oscar, 2 Emmys and 5 Golden Globes. He began acting in a series of films by the great director Pedro Almodóvar in the 1980s and then appeared in several Hollywood films: Philadelphia (1993), Interview with the Vampire (1994), Desperado (1995), Assassins (1995), Evita (1996), and The Mask of Zorro (1998). He received a Primetime Emmy nomination for his role in the television film And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself (2004). For the 2019 film Pain and Glory, he earned the Cannes Award, European Film Award and Goya for Best Actor, while receiving nominations for the Oscar and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor.
