"Elizabeth Berkley (born July 28, 1974) is an American actress. She played Jessie Spano in the television series "Saved by the Bell", and Nomi Malone in the 1995 Paul Verhoeven film "Showgirls". She had supporting roles in the films "The First Wives Club" and "Roger Dodger". In theater, she received critical acclaim for her performance in "Hurlyburly".
I don't think it's cool to hate "Showgirls" anymore. It may not be a masterpiece, but it certainly isn't the worst movie of all time, etc. The film is highly underrated and certainly has artistic value. Times are changing and publications such as Slant and BFI put the film on the list of the best films of the 90s (14th and 62nd place, respectively). I hope the attitude towards this wonderful actress will also change.
