David Wayne Spade (born 7/22/64) is an American actor, stand-up comedian, TV host & writer. He was an SNL cast member in the 1990s, and began an acting career in both film & TV. He also starred or co-starred in the films Tommy Boy (1995), Black Sheep (1996), Joe Dirt (2001), Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star (2003), The Benchwarmers (2006), Grown Ups (2010), The Ridiculous 6 (2015), The Do-Over (2016) and The Wrong Missy (2020). He has been on 2 long-running sitcoms: Just Shoot Me! (1997–2003) & Rules of Engagement (2007–2013). For his role in Just Shoot Me!, he was nominated for an Emmy & 2 Golden Globes. In animation, he voiced Ranger Frank in The Rugrats Movie (1998), Kuzco in The Emperor's New Groove (2000), Aliur in Snowflake, the White Gorilla (2013) and Griffin in the Hotel Transylvania film series (2012–2022).
