A method actor and student of The Actors Studio, Pacino's debut was a minor role in Me, Natalie (1969). He gained notice for his first lead as an addict in The Panic in Needle Park (1971). His breakthru was in The Godfather (1972) and he received a nom for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar. Pacino received Best Actor Oscar noms for Serpico (1973), The Godfather II, Dog Day Afternoon (1975) & And Justice for All (1979); winning for Scent of a Woman (1992). For Dick Tracy (1990), Glengarry Glen Ross (1992), and The Irishman (2019), he got more Oscar noms.
