There are thousands of movies, many of which follow the same tried-and-true stories and plots, and usually end up blurring together.
This is a ( partial ) list of movies by Directors who don't fall into that trap. They've created something unique and memorable, and often bat sh*t insane. It is no surprise that most of these insane film deal with craziness and insanity.
This list is about those movies; so weird, so strange, so unhinged, and sometimes so violent, and so refreshing because of it. You may not understand what is happening, but it is clear that the director does... and they are NOT telling. No spoon-feeding here; either you get it and love it, or you don't and you are forever lost. Or at the least you are unnerved.
