Famous Movies That Were Disowned by Their Directors

What many people may not know about writers and directors is that they're not necessarily always proud of what they put out even after months of toil in writing, editing, shooting etc. or even after they receive critical acclaim due to their perfectionism and their desire to always try to find a way to improve their movies to make the best movies possible that will stand the test of times for others as well as for themselves. Some of these movies are popular and beloved, others not so much, but they all have one thing in common: their directors felt that they all could have been so much more.
