Donate These Foods to Food Banks - Page 4

There are 3 main groups that use food banks: the elderly, the homeless, and welfare mothers. When you donate foods think about how many of those people live without fridges, stoves, or microwaves. What food can you eat without cooking? Without refrigeration? What food can you carry with you on the streets? Donate those type of foods. Some are luckier than others.... some can take the milk & cheese. But always think in terms of weight & the number of steps needed to get from opening the box/can to putting the food in a mouth.
